Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency matters, especially when the recommendations on this site could cost you money. Here’s exactly how Desk Pain Free makes money, and how that does (and doesn’t) affect what you read here.

The short version

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you. That commission is how this site stays online. It does not change the price you pay, and it does not change which products I recommend.

Amazon Associates disclosure

Desk Pain Free is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

This means when you click an Amazon link on this site and buy something within a certain window (typically 24 hours), Amazon pays me a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price whether you use my link or not.

How this affects what you read

It doesn’t. Here’s my commitment to you:

  • No pay-for-placement. I don’t accept money from brands in exchange for positive reviews or top rankings. Products are recommended because they actually helped me or someone I trust, not because a brand paid to be featured.
  • No sponsored posts. Nothing on this site is a paid advertisement dressed up as editorial content.
  • Honest criticism included. If a product I recommend has flaws, I say so. If something didn’t work for me, I say that too.
  • I buy what I test. Unless explicitly noted, I paid for the products I review with my own money. I don’t receive free samples in exchange for coverage.
  • Your experience may differ. I’m one person with one body. Ergonomic products work differently for different people. What helped my back pain may not help yours. When in doubt, consult a qualified healthcare provider.

Other affiliate and referral programs

In addition to Amazon Associates, this site may occasionally participate in other affiliate programs — for example, directly with ergonomic furniture brands or specialty retailers. When that’s the case, the same rules apply: I only recommend products I’ve genuinely used and found worth the money, and the commission never affects my editorial opinion.

If a specific post contains a non-Amazon affiliate link, it will be disclosed in that post.

Not medical advice

Nothing on Desk Pain Free is medical advice. I’m sharing what worked for my body after 12 years in hospitality and years of researching ergonomics. Chronic pain is complicated and personal. Please talk to a doctor, physiotherapist, or other qualified professional before making significant changes to how you manage pain.

If anything here is unclear, or if you have questions about how a specific recommendation is monetized, please reach out via the Contact page. I’d rather over-explain than leave you guessing.
