Your aching legs and back aren’t just the price of the job
For twelve years I believed the aching legs and the tight back were just part of the work. They weren’t — and what finally helped cost me $179, not the $4,000 the internet kept trying to sell me. Inside: the five fixes I wish I’d tried sooner, each with the real price, the brand, and an honest caveat.

The five fixes inside
Smallest spend first — and the single free fix that beat everything I paid for. Each one with the real price, the brand, and an honest caveat, including the ones I never bought myself.
The compression socks I wish I’d bought a decade earlier
The leg pain I assumed was just part of the job — and the one pair that changed it.
The lumbar pillow I now cannot sit without
What a $40 cushion did for a supervisor’s lower back, at the desk and on the floor.
The rotation I got stuck in for years
Massage, chiro, acupuncture — relief, return, repeat. Why I finally stopped.
The $4,000 setup I never bought
The ergonomic dream setup the internet sells — and the $179 I spent instead.
The recovery I never used to protect
Showers, sleep, orange light, and magnesium — the free routine that did more than anything I bought.
Who this is for
If your body aches after work — on your feet or at a desk — this is written for you.
Why I wrote it
I’m Tom — twelve years in hospitality, now an in-room dining supervisor in Toronto. For most of those years I assumed the aching legs and the tight back were just what the job felt like. They weren’t. Some of it was fixable, and I had to break my body down enough times to figure out which fixes were actually worth their cost — and which were a waste.
I’m not a doctor or a wellness coach. Every fix in the guide comes with the real price, the brand, and an honest caveat. If it helps you start sooner than I did, that’s what it’s for.
